I first discovered Pilates as a client whilst I was working as a Primary School Teacher. In just a few sessions I knew there was something really beneficial in this particular form of exercise. After having my children I began to attend Body Control Pilates classes and came to appreciate the precise, controlled approach that the method used.
Pilates became a way to re-balance muscles, build strength and unwind. In 2017 I decided to train as a Body Control Pilates Teacher so I could share the advantages of Pilates with others.
I continue to develop my knowledge my taking regular courses in Special Population groups to ensure that I am up to date with the latest techniques and can bring best practice to my clients.
As well as getting the physical benefits of Pilates it also gave me an overall sense wellness and this combination inspired me to train as a Body Control Teacher. Since qualifying in 2018, I continue to develop my knowledge by taking regular courses in Special Population groups in order to bring the best I can to my clients.
I strongly believe in the power of Pilates to enable people of all ages to develop better movement patterns. Currently, I have a varied client base of people aged between 21 and 80. They come from all walks of life from building surveyors to show jumping judges, retirees, full time carers, magistrates and distance runners. Pilates is suitable for almost everyone!
